TISSF is a student’s door into challenging scientific research and engineering design, exciting Fair Day Experiences, awards, and further advancements such as GENIUS Olympiad and the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair.

WHO: | Public, private, and home-schooled students in grades 5-12 from any country or territory outside of the United States in which a student cannot compete in English for possible advancement to the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) or participate in a middle school STEM fair. Access the registration site for the Eligibility Tool to determine whether you should register with an ISEF-affiliated fair in your host country or with TISSEF. |
WHEN: | Judging in two rounds: March 2023 Awards Ceremony: April 2023 |
WHERE: | Round I will be asynchronous using student-posted content such as abstracts, slides, a quad chart, and a video. Round II will involve live presentations in child-safe virtual spaces. |
REGISTER: | Registration deadline: February 1. Early bird registration $125 through December 31. Full registration $250 from January 1 until February 1. Project materials uploaded by February 5. A registration guide will be available at the registration portal by October 1. Note: Please visit our website to see if a sponsor has reduced your fees. We encourage corporations to sponsor the children of their employees, and professional associations to sponsor projects submitted in their fields. |
THE PLAN: | All project materials must be uploaded by Feb. 5 for final review by the Scientific Review and the Display and Safety Committees. Rounds I and II will take place in March. In April, after all judging results have been tabulated, the Fair will host virtual Public Viewing so parents, teachers and other guests can see, read and hear about every project. Also in April, at our virtual Awards Ceremony for the public, we will announce all honors, prizes, and advancements. |
PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS: | Terra will provide promotional materials such as a PDF of a poster at no charge to any individual or organization interested in engaging students in TISSF. Please contact the fair director to arrange for live interviews or video clips. |
