Congratulations to the participants of the 2019 Terra Fairs who have qualified to advance to Intel ISEF 2019 in Phoenix, Arizona! Over 1800 students from over 75 countries participate in Intel ISEF. The competition will take place from May 12-17 2019.
Jerry Hou participated in the Terra Rochester-Finger Lakes Science and Engineering Fair. Jerry is from Corning, NY and is a student at Corning-Painted Post High School. Jerry’s project was “Detection of Lung Cancer Biomarkers: A Catalytic Assay Strategy Based on Gold Alloy Nanoparticles”
Liam Gavin-Dell participated in the Western New York Regional Science and Engineering Fair at D’Youville College. Liam attends City Honors School in Buffalo. Liam’s project was “Study of the Juul E-Cigarette”
Shalya Wilhem participated in the Twin Tiers Regional Science Fair at St. Bonaventure University. Shalya attends Portville Central School. Shalya’s project was “Aluminum SiO2 Coated Optical Mirror Deterioration with Epoxy Resin.”
Roger Dezotell participated in the Terra Northeast Regional Science and Engineering Fair at SUNY Potsdam. Roger is from Clintonville, NY and is a student at AuSable Valley High School. Roger’s project was “Bioremediation of Plastic Straws and Cigarette Filters by Wax Worms (Galleria mellonella)”
